Because Farmers Markets deal in seasonal produce the selection will vary from season to season and so people have the opportunity to see how produce and stocks change with each market depending on the time of year. The markets’ aim is to create an atmosphere which is vibrant, up beat and fun, helping to re-vitalise rural centres and to make shopping a sociable and enjoyable experience.
So you are invited to come along and fall in love with local food at the Drouin Farmers Market on the third Saturday of each month. Our best advice is to be EARLY to get the pick of the crop!
The Gippsland region is also home to many weekend markets, each with its own unique character and charm. Locally produced craft, an abundance of plants and produce, bric a brac and antiques combined with the easy relaxed nature of country market shopping make Gippsland markets a great day out.
